Faith Project Update
If you have been following my blog, you may already know that sometime last year, our family started what we now call our Faith Project. It is a small home-based business that grew alongside our existing Divine Pasta shop. It was never meant to be just about income. It was never about chasing growth or recognition. It was a step of obedience. A response to what God placed in our hands.
And honestly, at the beginning, we did not even know where it would lead.
Today’s devotion reminded me of something very simple but deeply true. God often works quietly. Not always in big announcements or dramatic moments, but in small steps of obedience, in daily faithfulness, and in seeds planted with prayer and trust.
As I reflected on that, my heart was drawn back to our Faith Project and to how all of this started not in a boardroom, not in a business plan, but in our own kitchen. With what we already had. With a willing heart. With faith that God can use even the smallest beginnings.
Starting Small and Trusting God With What We Had
The Faith Project began very simply. We did not have fancy equipment. We did not rent a commercial kitchen. We did not borrow money. We used what we already had at home. Our own kitchen. Our own time. Our own hands.
Our whole family became part of it. Each one doing what they could. Cooking. Baking. Packing. Delivering. Praying.
Our son David became the heart of Divine Treats. He is the man behind the brownies that many of you now enjoy. What makes this even more special is how it started.
It was during his long summer break. Like many children, he got bored. One day he decided he wanted to bake and sell chocolate crinkles. Those first attempts did not go well. They failed. They did not sell. They did not turn out the way he imagined.
Then one of his classmates asked a simple question. Do you also make brownies?
That question changed everything.
We decided to try. We baked brownies. We tested different recipes. We tweaked here and there. Sometimes too sweet. Sometimes too dry. Sometimes just not right. But we kept going. Slowly, patiently, learning together.
Until one day, we realized we finally got it right.
That was the moment when a seed of faith quietly began to grow.

Homemade Delights for a Cause
We eventually created our Facebook page and banner for Divine Treats. It says,
Homemade delights for a cause. Bringing delicious treats from our home to yours. Based in Phnom Penh, we offer made to order goodies with a purpose. Join us in our mission by pre ordering now and become part of our journey.
Those words were not just marketing lines. They reflect our heart. This was never just about selling food. It was about purpose. About service. About letting our work reflect our faith.
As we stepped into 2026, we did so with grateful hearts. New beginnings always come with new challenges, but they also bring fresh chances to rely more deeply on God’s grace and faithfulness.
The past months here in Cambodia have been full. There have been uncertainties. Needs. Concerns that weigh heavily on the hearts of many. As members of this humble nation, we felt a deep burden to do our part, even if it felt small.
As the Body of Christ, we believe that service is one of the clearest ways the gospel becomes visible. Not only through preaching, but through presence. Through compassion. Through obedience in everyday life.
Our First Official Step as a Faith Project
By God’s grace, our Faith Project officially launched. Or as David joyfully calls it, Official business.
He was so proud. So excited. Not because of money, but because he felt a sense of responsibility. A sense of purpose. He knew this was something real.
Our first official step was joining a fundraising campaign organized by my university. The goal was to support displaced communities and front liners affected by the border dispute. Both Divine Pasta and Divine Treats were invited to participate as main vendors.
We prayed about it. And we made a decision.
We chose to donate all our sales that day.
From a business point of view, it did not make sense. We were new. We were small. We needed the income. But in our hearts, we knew this was the right thing to do.
That day, we did not gain profit. But we gained something far greater.
Joy.
There was deep joy in obeying God. Joy in serving. Joy in knowing that even through pasta and brownies, God’s love could reach people.
God was faithful.
Students tasted our food. They met David in person. They heard his story. They saw his joy. And they started asking for more.
Since that event, Divine Treats has been selling out three times a week at the Limkokwing University student lounge. We now have regular customers who first discovered us through that fundraising event.
What looked like a loss became a blessing.

God’s Faithfulness in Steady Growth
We are now prayerfully waiting for confirmation to supply two more schools, AIS and Pannasastra. We continue supplying one café and selling through our pasta shop. On average, we sell about thirty brownies per day.
Growth has been slow and steady. Not rushed. Not forced.
And for that, we are thankful.
Even our tithes have slowly increased. All by God’s grace.
Today’s devotion reminded me that faithfulness in small things matters to God. He sees the effort. He sees the heart. He sees what is done in secret.
Ministry Through Work
Faith Project Updates
Divine Pasta
By God’s provision and through the generosity of a supporter, we were able to upgrade some essential kitchen equipment. These improvements made cooking and preparation easier and more efficient.
Our next major step is business registration. The process has been more complicated and more costly than we expected. But we remain committed to doing things legally and honorably. We continue to ask God for wisdom and provision.
Divine Pasta continues to grow within our community, especially among children. Our best sellers remain carbonara and red sauce pasta. Customers can dine in or order through FoodPanda and Grab.
We operate Monday to Saturday and remain closed on Sundays. That is a choice we made intentionally to honor the Sabbath and to remind ourselves that our provision comes from God, not from nonstop work.
Divine Treats and Divine Brownies
To meet the growing demand, we invested in better baking equipment.
We now have a new stand mixer, which came just in time because our old hand mixer finally stopped working.
We added a tall baking rack trolley and more baking trays.
We now have a stainless steel prep and storage table.
We also invested in a portable pop up shop for bazaars and events.
We set up a dedicated baking space in our home for better flow and efficiency.
Currently, we supply Limkokwing University, one local café, and Divine Pasta.
We bake brownies daily now. We are praying that production will double once we receive approval from two more schools.
We also have another upcoming university event and a possible large order for a student study trip. There has been interest in our banana bread and brownies as simple breakfast on the go.
Growing Together as a Family
Our service kitchen has been carefully organized into different sections. Production. Cooking. Baking. Storage. Cleaning. Everything is shared.
We launched our Facebook page for Divine Treats and are learning to be consistent with posting and promotions.
For now, we are not yet ready to hire help. It is still just our family. Working together. Supporting one another. Sometimes tired. Sometimes stressed. Sometimes overwhelmed.
There are days when the pace feels chaotic. Orders come in all at once. Time feels short. Emotions run high.
But even in those moments, we thank God.
Because these challenges teach us humility. Patience. Dependence on Him.
They remind us why we started.
We are not business experts. We are learners. We are a family trying to be faithful with what God entrusted to us.
Our Vision Going Forward
Our goal is simple.
To grow.
To give.
To glorify God.
We pray that these two small businesses will grow into something sustainable. Something that blesses not only our family, but others as well.
We hope to support the rental needs of our dormitories and worship venue.
We hope to support David’s education.
We hope to help provide stability for Kunthy as a single mother.
We have committed to give back twenty percent of our profits, in addition to our regular tithes and offerings. This is our way of saying thank you to God and of remembering that everything we have comes from Him.
A Reflection From Hebrews 13
Today’s devotion brought me to Hebrews 13.
Hebrews 13 reminds us of two things that truly please God.
The first is found in Hebrews 13 verse 15. It calls us to offer a sacrifice of praise. This is worship.
Worship is not only singing in church. It is a life that recognizes who God is and what He has done.
The second is found in Hebrews 13 verse 16. It reminds us to do good and to share with others. These are sacrifices that please God.
As we bake. As we cook. As we serve. As we give.
We pray that our lives reflect His love.
We have been loved by Him. Now we are called to love others, not just in words, but in action.
An Invitation to Reconnect
If you have been following our journey, thank you. Your prayers. Your encouragement. Your support matter more than you know.
If you are new here, welcome. This is not a story about success. It is a story about faith. About obedience. About a God who works quietly and faithfully through ordinary people.
Whether you are part of the faith community or someone still searching, I hope this encourages you.
God can use what is already in your hands.
A kitchen.
A skill.
A small idea.
A willing heart.
Sometimes all it takes is one simple question.
And God does the rest.
To Him alone be all the glory!🙏😍
