A Heart That Gives Freely

Image
At PPC church during Offertory with David: I can't believe my son is teaching me how to have a heart that gives freely! As a family serving in Cambodia, we have always held on to one simple belief. God has blessed us so that we can be a πŸ‘‰  blessing to others . Not only to those who already know Him, but especially to those who have yet to know Christ. We say this often. We pray about it. We try to live it out in small, daily ways. And this week, we saw it come alive through our son David in such a beautiful and unexpected way. There are moments in parenting that quietly stay in your heart. Not because they are grand or extraordinary, but because they reveal something deeper. Something eternal. Something that reminds you that God is truly at work in your home. This week was one of those moments for me. A Simple Beginning When David was younger, giving was something we taught him in a very simple way. Every Sunday, when the offering pouch was passed around, I would quietly give him ...

Why Is It Called Good Friday?

Image
A Quiet Reflection in the Midst of a Busy Day Today is Good Friday. And yet, for me, it felt like any other busy workday at the university. The semester is coming to an end, and like many lecturers and staff, we are all rushing to complete final grades, assessments, and reports. This morning alone, I found myself going from one task to another. I had to make sure that all lecturers in our department had completed their grading and properly submitted everything into the system. It was one of those mornings where your mind is constantly ticking, checking, reminding, organizing. At the same time, I was also helping prepare for our end of school lunch gathering for the academics and staff. This is something I have been tasked to do every year, and honestly, I gladly do it. It brings me joy to see our lecturers relax, laugh, and enjoy a moment of rest after a long and tiring season of teaching, checking papers, and meeting deadlines. There is something special about seeing people loosen up ...

March 2026 Ministry Recap

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28 There is something about the quiet moments of life that God often uses to speak the loudest. L iving out our calling in Cambodia , being gently reminded that mission work is not about us. It is about Him. It is about showing up daily, even in the ordinary, and choosing to serve. A Season of Movement and Opportunity In Cambodia, this time of the year feels very different from what many of us grew up with. While other parts of the world prepare for Passion Week , Cambodia prepares for Khmer New Year. It is one of the biggest holidays in the country. Families travel back to their provinces. The city slowly empties. Phnom Penh becomes quiet. Almost like a pause. Get Free Passion Week Devotionals πŸ‘ˆhere! When Life Around Us Feels Uncertain

Image
There are days when life feels steady and predictable, and there are days when everything seems uncertain. In both kinds of days, one truth continues to bring comfort to my heart. God’s communication line is always open. I find myself returning to this simple but powerful thought again and again. We can come to Him anytime. There is no schedule to follow, no waiting line, no closed door. Whether it is early in the morning before the city wakes up, or late at night after a long day of responsibilities, God is always there, ready to listen. And what amazes me even more is this. He already knows what is in my heart. He already understands my thoughts before I even speak them. Yet He still invites me to come and talk to Him. He still desires to hear my voice, my concerns, my joys, and even my confusion. That alone gives me so much peace. I am grateful to have a God who is dependable at all times. Not sometimes. Not only when life is good. But always. Prayer as Honest Conversation Sometimes...
