Faith Project Update

Image
If you have been following my blog, you may already know that sometime last year, our family started what we now call our Faith Project. It is a small home-based business that grew alongside our existing Divine Pasta shop. It was never meant to be just about income. It was never about chasing growth or recognition. It was a step of obedience. A response to what God placed in our hands. And honestly, at the beginning, we did not even know where it would lead. Today’s devotion reminded me of something very simple but deeply true. God often works quietly. Not always in big announcements or dramatic moments, but in small steps of obedience, in daily faithfulness, and in seeds planted with prayer and trust. As I reflected on that, my heart was drawn back to our Faith Project and to how all of this started not in a boardroom, not in a business plan, but in our own kitchen. With what we already had. With a willing heart. With faith that God can use even the smallest beginnings. Starting Smal...

Sustaining God’s Work

Image
It has been more than 15 years since our family first answered God’s call to serve in Phnom Penh.  Looking back, it’s amazing how time has passed and how much the Lord has done in and through this ministry. When we first came and moved to the city to serve in a Bible School , we had nothing but faith in our hearts and a deep desire to serve the Lord among the Khmer people. Eventually God lead us here, we didn’t know exactly what the journey would look like, but we trusted that God would lead the way. Every year has been a story of His grace, and every challenge has become an opportunity to see His faithfulness unfold. Our family has been serving faithfully with Phnom Penh Church (PPC) for over a decade now. Our calling is simple yet deeply meaningful to disci...

Six Reflections on Erika Kirk's Tribute to Charlie Kirk

Image
Charlie Kirk’s death has shaken many of us. Listening to Erika’s speech , watching how she honored him his faith, his love, his mission reminds us that life is fragile, purpose is real, and God’s call is urgent. We are ministering to university dormitories walking alongside students facing identity, pressure, doubt this moment holds lessons we cannot ignore. Read my previous post here  What is your Turning Point?  👈  Sharing with you six reflections and lessons, with practical applications for us in our ministry, and in our own lives.  May these move us to faith, action, and hope. 1. Faith Is Revealed in the Everyday, Not Just Grand Moments Reflection Erika said that every day Charlie asked her, “How can I serve you better? How can I be a better husband? How can I be a better father?”  He did not only live for the big platform or speeches. He lived faith in the small, daily acts of love and service. Life is not always about big events. Often faith is shown...

Khmer New Year and the Passion Week

Image
👉 Get your  FREE Devotional ( 7-day prayer journal for the Passion week ) As the new week unfolds, our family eagerly anticipates two significant celebrations: Khmer New Year and the Passion Week . It’s a rare moment when these two events align, and this year, we are especially mindful of how we can embrace both. As followers of Christ, we hold the death and resurrection of Jesus at the center of our faith. Yet, as a family living in Cambodia, we also seek to honor and connect with our loved ones who celebrate Khmer New Year, a time deeply embedded in their cultural and religious traditions. This year, as we travel to my husband's hometown in Kampong Cham province, our hearts are drawn to Colossians 3:12: “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” These words serve as a guiding light for us, especially as we step into an environment where Buddhist traditions run deep. How do we celebr...

With God All Things Are Possible

Image
For many years now, one of the tools that has helped me stay connected with God every day is the YouVersion Bible app . I am truly thankful for it. It is simple to use and it reminds me daily to spend intentional time with God. I read guided devotionals in the morning as I hop on my tuktuk, and I listen to the audio Bible during quiet moments. I have been using it for five years now and it has helped me catch up and finish my Bible reading and listening goals. It also shapes what I share with the young woman I disciple, Sheryl. I am amazed by how God uses this small tool in my hand to speak to me in a very personal way, almost like He is sitting beside me whispering truth into my heart. Most of my morning prayers flow from the devotional I read and the Bible verse of the day. Many times I write them down in my journal. If you have been following my blog, you already know that I write about family, our dorm ministry, Cambodian culture, and the simple moments of life that God uses to tea...

Trusting God’s Quiet Provision

Image
As a family, we’ve been serving the Lord here in Cambodia for over a decade. Looking back, it’s only by His grace that we are still doing what He has called us to do. We have simply depended on God’s quiet provision through our jobs and side hustles. We are grateful to our friends who would sometimes surprise us with their gifts. And we value and honor God for we know that's also one of the ways He would meet our needs. 👉  Our "Love Project" 🥰💕🙏🍪🍰🎂🧁   Psalm 127:2 says, “It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for He gives to His beloved sleep.” This verse is like a warm blanket to us, especially when the worries of tomorrow try to steal our rest. We don’t live stress-free lives. There are bills to pay, mouths to feed, and ministry responsibilities that don’t pause. But we have learned something valuable over the years: when God is our provider, we can rest. Not because everything is perfect, but because everythin...
