Faith Project Update

Image
If you have been following my blog, you may already know that sometime last year, our family started what we now call our Faith Project. It is a small home-based business that grew alongside our existing Divine Pasta shop. It was never meant to be just about income. It was never about chasing growth or recognition. It was a step of obedience. A response to what God placed in our hands. And honestly, at the beginning, we did not even know where it would lead. Today’s devotion reminded me of something very simple but deeply true. God often works quietly. Not always in big announcements or dramatic moments, but in small steps of obedience, in daily faithfulness, and in seeds planted with prayer and trust. As I reflected on that, my heart was drawn back to our Faith Project and to how all of this started not in a boardroom, not in a business plan, but in our own kitchen. With what we already had. With a willing heart. With faith that God can use even the smallest beginnings. Starting Smal...

Sustaining God’s Work

Image
It has been more than 15 years since our family first answered God’s call to serve in Phnom Penh.  Looking back, it’s amazing how time has passed and how much the Lord has done in and through this ministry. When we first came and moved to the city to serve in a Bible School , we had nothing but faith in our hearts and a deep desire to serve the Lord among the Khmer people. Eventually God lead us here, we didn’t know exactly what the journey would look like, but we trusted that God would lead the way. Every year has been a story of His grace, and every challenge has become an opportunity to see His faithfulness unfold. Our family has been serving faithfully with Phnom Penh Church (PPC) for over a decade now. Our calling is simple yet deeply meaningful to disci...

January 2026 Ministry Recap

Image
Dormitory Ministries in Cambodia What a beautiful way to wrap up January 2026. As we step into a new year, our hearts are full of gratitude. There is no other way to say it. God has been kind to us in ways we did not expect and in moments we did not plan. We praise Him for the favor, the strength, and the grace He has poured out as we begin another year of serving Him here in Cambodia. This past month reminded us again that every single day is a gift. Waking up, serving, loving, teaching, parenting, cooking, praying, and persevering are all made possible only by God’s grace. There were moments when the road felt steady and moments when it felt uncertain, but in every step, God was present. We want to thank you for standing with us. For praying for us. For reading our blogs and walking with us through this season of ministry and family life. Whether you are near or far, whether you have met us in person or only through words on a screen, your prayers matter more than you know. This jour...

Six Reflections on Erika Kirk's Tribute to Charlie Kirk

Image
Charlie Kirk’s death has shaken many of us. Listening to Erika’s speech , watching how she honored him his faith, his love, his mission reminds us that life is fragile, purpose is real, and God’s call is urgent. We are ministering to university dormitories walking alongside students facing identity, pressure, doubt this moment holds lessons we cannot ignore. Read my previous post here  What is your Turning Point?  πŸ‘ˆ  Sharing with you six reflections and lessons, with practical applications for us in our ministry, and in our own lives.  May these move us to faith, action, and hope. 1. Faith Is Revealed in the Everyday, Not Just Grand Moments Reflection Erika said that every day Charlie asked her, “How can I serve you better? How can I be a better husband? How can I be a better father?”  He did not only live for the big platform or speeches. He lived faith in the small, daily acts of love and service. Life is not always about big events. Often faith is shown...

March 2026 Ministry Recap

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28 There is something about the quiet moments of life that God often uses to speak the loudest. L iving out our calling in Cambodia , being gently reminded that mission work is not about us. It is about Him. It is about showing up daily, even in the ordinary, and choosing to serve. A Season of Movement and Opportunity In Cambodia, this time of the year feels very different from what many of us grew up with. While other parts of the world prepare for Passion Week , Cambodia prepares for Khmer New Year. It is one of the biggest holidays in the country. Families travel back to their provinces. The city slowly empties. Phnom Penh becomes quiet. Almost like a pause. Get Free Passion Week Devotionals πŸ‘ˆhere! February 2026 Ministry recap

Dorm Ministry & PPC Updates This month has been full. Full of hope. Full of service. Full of joy. But also full of concern. I wanted to write this newsletter with only good updates. I wanted to simply share victories in ministry, growth in our dorm, and answered prayers in our small business. But life does not always come in neat and clean reports. Sometimes we serve God while carrying a burden quietly in our hearts. And I believe many of you understand that. When the Body Feels Weak but the Spirit Must Stay Strong For the past weeks, my husband Vandy has been experiencing recurring abdominal pain. It is not new. Two years ago he underwent colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures because the pain became too much to ignore. We were afraid then. We did not know what the doctors would find. By God’s grace, the results came back negative. No serious findings. We were relieved. Vandy is the healthiest person in our family. He eats carefully. He exercises daily. Since the pandemic, we have ...
