What's the truth?

What a rainy morning we have in Phnom Penh today πŸ™πŸ˜‰.

Has summer ended in Cambodia already? As a plant lover, I do rejoice about it! It's about time to experience some rain shower 😍

While on a tuktuk today, I pondered on this verse in Colossians 1:13 "He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

It is a great reminder that we have been saved through Jesus’ - His death and resurrection made it happened. God has saved us from darkness and evil, and we should be grateful for being citizens of His kingdom. Our freedom comes from Him, who can change our circumstances.

Over dinner last night. our David has again asked a question, I think this is still in reference to our previous conversation a few nights ago but this time, he has included his dad πŸ˜…✌πŸ‘‰ David's lamentations

***While eating...

David: Mom, will I go to heaven with dad someday?

Mom: David, do you remember what Jesus have done on the cross? He died for our sins, because He loves us dearly. After three days, He rose again! there's hope on His resurrection. We will see him again in heaven.

If you have sincerely accepted Christ as your Savior (he nodded) and believe that Jesus has forgiven your sins, then I believe you will definitely go to heaven someday πŸ˜‰ but of course we need to live out this truth in our lives every day. Jesus has given us the power you know.

David: by the Holy Spirit!

Mom: yeah you are 100% right! πŸ‘ oh wait a minute, how is your classmate doing now? Have you asked Porchung to forgive you yet?

David: Yes I did mom and he also said he has forgiven me. We are friends again!

Mom: that's wonderful to know David! πŸ˜…πŸ˜€

To be completely honest, I occasionally find it concerning when David asks this question. It feels like all I'm doing is repeating myself, which makes me wonder if he's still processing what I said. But after giving it more thought, I saw that I ought to have the same heart and mentality as my son. Actually, I ought to be constantly assessing if I'm still in tune with Jesus. Providing an answer to the question Do I still uphold and practice God's truth?

We should be thankful to be a part of Jesus' kingdom because of His death and resurrection, which delivered us from the grip of evil and darkness. It is He who gives us freedom and has the power to alter our circumstances.

I have a written a post on Diving to God's word πŸ‘ˆ πŸ˜€πŸ˜
