Dad’s colonoscopy procedure πŸ™πŸ₯πŸ₯Ί

Hospital visit
Vandy's tolerable to any pain. In fact, he won't never take any medicine or visit a doctor unless it's unbearable. At home, it has always been a practice to resort on home remedies and cure our sicknesses on natural way and it has been effective to us.

However, my husband has started to have reoccurring abdominal pain since last year.
The last time he had brought himself to doctor was when he was still church planting in Kratie province (19 years ago!). He had malaria and almost didn't make it - his family even thought he has died in the mission field.

So over the weekend, we brought him to see a specialist and was advised to have an annual physical exam (it's his 1st ever check up!) - it's like an almost full day stint of checkups. They run some blood tests, glucose, vitals, even ultrasound on him.
Praise God they all came in good results. However, doctor would want to run a thorough check on his colon since it seems like this might be the culprit of his abdominal pain.
He would need to undergo a colonoscopy test today Monday.

To be honest, it seems like a normal routine of checkup but for me it looks like a huge medical term - colonoscopy! I mean it might be some kind of a scary procedure. What if they will really find out any chronic disease - I don't know I'm probably just so paranoid.
We asked dad how he is feeling about it. He said he is fine; he just wanted to know the real cause of the pain and eventually be given proper diagnosis and medications.
He even made some funny remarks on it - might be a weird feeling to know that someone will poke his precious butt/rectum later haha! He is actually looking forward to see/discover what the camera would show inside his intestines.

We prayed over Vandy at church and at home yesterday. We hope to be able to get a promising diagnosis and rule out the exact reasons of his pain. We have always been a prayerful family of three, but just so you know I am a bit scared right now 😒 not gonna lie. And my devotion this morning came really on a perfect timing. God really knows what's in my heart and so this takeaway has comforted me.

**A colonoscopy test can be used to detect symptoms such unexplained diarrhea, abdominal pain, or blood in the stool, as well as to check for colon polyps or bowel cancer. Polyps and early malignancies can be removed simultaneously.

How then do we find God's will?
All prayer is a sincere, continuous conversation with God.
Although Jesus says that God already knows what we need, He nevertheless invites us to come to Him and share our thoughts with Him. He looks out for us and is a good father. He desires to influence our viewpoints, ease our hearts, and speak into our situation.

He enjoys giving upon His children good gifts—things they desire, hunger for, and beg for. However, there are instances when our desires aren't healthy for us. When Jesus says, "Ask, and it will be given to you," in Matthew 7:8, He never implies that we are going to receive our every want.
We spend time with Him. Our understanding of God's character will grow as we learn to know Him more. And we won't make requests that are in line with His desire until we comprehend who He is. Jesus promises to give us Himself when we ask God for what we need in Matthew 7.

God finds us when we seek Him in humility. And He extends a warm welcome to us when we approach Him in our true selves. God will get closer to us when we get closer to Him.
David's wondering because it's taking Dad's checkup a long time
