When it rains, it pours

on my Tuktuk commuting home
Cambodia has entered the rainy seasons.
This country is blessed because of its geographical position - nestled between the countries of Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos. These neighboring countries would always get typhoons and other natural calamities. And since Cambodia is like a basin, it would only get the after effect. Yes, Mekong River would overflow from time to time due to monsoon rains, but it will not linger and would still be manageable. However, there have been many concerns these past few years. Flooding has become such a problem especially here in the city of Phnom Penh.

As a daily commuter, it would be really uncomfortable and irritating whenever moto rider would rudely drive pass and splash water on you especially in the busy mornings 😢😫 which unfortunately happened to me today 😓. It just happened so quickly, and I was speechless for a moment - I got soaked! (from my pants to my shoes). My tuktuk driver looked at me and perhaps waiting for me to shout, blurt and blame him for what happened. But I just remained calm and composed myself while trying to wipe my shoes/pants - I made him sure I was still fine. Actually, in times like this, I should be angry as an initial reaction - to my surprised, I was not angry at all like I would use to be. Instantly, I just thought of understanding that person's situation. Maybe he's in a hurry for an emergency or some important matter to attend to, or perhaps he might not even be aware and unintentionally done it. I am convinced that what happened today was God's ways for me to be reminded on the verse I have been listening & reading this week.

These past few days, I have been sharing with Sheryl (my disciple) 1 Corinthians 13. I’m glad that it was divided so we could understand how to love 💕 in the right and pleasing way. You see Jesus has exemplify all of these. Imagine we are to obey love even to a rude person? exactly, right? my experience today is to understand a strange person 😮 👍
Loving a person (even to strangers) who is difficult/annoying takes understanding even if we don’t know and it doesn’t make sense.
When I remembered that 😍☺️ my heart pounded! I literally received God’s word for me today.
Paul emphasizes the importance of love as patient, kind, and unyielding. Love does not dishonor others, is not self-seeking, and rejoices with truth. Love never fails, but may cease in certain situations, such as prophecies or knowledge.

Happy weekend!
