How to RUN the race with ENDURANCE?

It's Olympic season!

If you have been watching the news lately, there have been lots of buzz about the opening of the Olympic in Paris. But I won't be dwelling much on the not so good news.

As Christ believers, we should act kinder and gentler on some pressing issues. Hope we should become more of a peacemaker rather than be a condemner. I think this is the best time to show or express God's love rather than hate (just saying). My faith is only anchored in Christ Jesus, and I am called to share that L-O-V-E without reservation. This is my faith journey to run the race with perseverance while standing on His TRUTHS.

To run the race with perseverance as mentioned in Hebrews 12:1, one should focus on keeping faith in God, staying steadfast in the face of challenges, and drawing strength from the examples of those who have gone before us.

It involves enduring difficulties with patience and determination, trusting in God's guidance and promises, and staying resolute in the pursuit of spiritual growth and righteousness.

An endurance race ultimately means a very deep commitment to faith in Christ, endurance, and letting God's strength carry one through the hard times that might be waiting up ahead.

My six takes on Running with Endurance:

1. Fix Your Eyes on Jesus: it encourages us to focus on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, to align our actions and attitudes with His teachings.

2. LAY ASIDE WEIGHTS AND SINS: As a believer, we must remove all obstacles to spiritual growth, such as sin, worldly concerns, and distractions, just as a runner discards extra weight for a good run.

3. Draw strength from God: Personal experiences often fuel faith, but prayer, Scripture study, and seeking guidance through the Holy Spirit are crucial for a faith race.

4. Seek strength from God: Maintaining endurance in the race of faith requires strength from prayer, Scripture study, and guidance from the Holy Spirit.

5. Learn from examples: highlights past examples of faithful individuals as sources of inspiration and encouragement, highlighting their perseverance as a valuable tool for believers on their spiritual journey.

6. Run with perseverance: call to perseverance emphasizes consistency, determination, and resilience, urging believers to remain committed to their faith despite obstacles or setbacks.
