Beautiful mess??

Our tongue 👅 is one of the tiniest organ in our body and yet it’s powerful.
It has a power to build up and hurt.
Our words matter. What comes out from our tongue is a reflection of what’s in our hearts.

As believers we should be able to be mindful of our words - it could bring life or death to the people around us.
We need to guard it at all times. Thank God for the fruit of the spirit teaching us to be self-controlled, gentle, love, kind with the words we could use.

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
and those who love it will eat its fruits.

Our son David loves to build and makes his own toys. He likes intricate details like the ones of legos and buildings, he draws and sketches and all of these would easily pile up in the living room down to our dining table. it's such a chaos at times! Before it does drive me crazy, but then I realized he could only be a boy once. I have to process it mindfully. There was a time when I just blurted my annoyance and raised my voice on him, and I know it was not a good sight for him. He told me - he got hurt when I scolded him like that 😔😟

Today, I realized there are things in parenting that sometimes I need to be reasonable with my actions and on the way, I would react and perceive. Taking into the account of how my son would understand the impact of my actions and even the tone and used words. For some reasons, I know these actions might be copied by him subconsciously in the long run. So I resolved to just let go (let it be) of some things. I am willing to trade my insanity on chaos mess at home as long as my son would be able to build his confidence and be helpful on his growth as a child's cognitive learning. Heart over matter - boosting godly character.
