Six ways to cultivate our connection with God
God has placed a burden in our hearts to be of His service in our local church, discipling our youth (mostly from our dormitories: university students), young couples/families and young professionals. My heart is full whenever I worship God with the body of Christ. Corporately, we share our concerns, pray with our burdens, sharpen each other, and encouraging each other to persevere in life. By God's grace, my husband and I realized that we are also growing together with them. In this new season of our lives, we embrace this is God's direction for our family. We are humbled to be given this opportunity; we hope and pray that they will also be an influence on where God is leading them be it to their schools, families, and even to their workplaces.
a. Surround Yourself with a Supportive Community: Connect with other believers who can offer encouragement, accountability, and spiritual counsel. Sharing your faith journey with others might help you stay motivated and committed to your views.
b. Practice gratitude and reflection. Regularly reflect on your blessings and thank God for His faithfulness. This exercise might help you keep a positive attitude and enhance your faith during times of uncertainty.
c. Seek Knowledge and comprehension: Always strive to increase your understanding of the Bible and God's teachings. Learning more about your faith might help you overcome uncertainties and obstacles.
d. Accept Challenges as Opportunities for Growth: See challenges and trials as opportunities for spiritual development and refinement. Trust that God will use these events to enhance your faith and transform you into a more committed Christian.
e. Stay grounded in prayer. Create a continuous prayer life in which you interact with God, seek His guidance, and release your anxieties and fears to Him. Prayer can be an effective technique for sustaining your faith and finding strength during difficult times.
f. Live out your faith. Put your faith into action by showing love, kindness, and compassion to others. Serving and helping those in need can strengthen your faith and affirm your values.
