April 2026 Ministry Recap

April 2026 Ministry Recap
April has come and gone, and as we look back, our hearts are full. Full of gratitude. Full of quiet moments with God. Full of lessons that stretched our faith and reminded us again that He is always good.

This month carried both excitement and challenges. It was not always easy, but it was meaningful. And through it all, we saw the hand of God guiding us step by step.

Psalm 34:8 became very real to us this month. It is one thing to read that the Lord is good. It is another thing to truly experience it in real life. To taste it in moments of fear, in answered prayers, in unexpected provision, and in quiet assurance.

And this is what we want to share with you. Not just what we did this month, but how we saw God move in the middle of it all.

Preparing Hearts During Khmer New Year 👈

Before we left for a short break in the Philippines, we spent time preparing our hearts and the hearts of our young people for Khmer New Year.

This season is very important in Cambodia. It is a time when many return to their provinces to be with family. It is also deeply connected to tradition and long held beliefs.

For many of our young believers, this can be a challenging time.

They go home to families who may not yet know Christ. They step into environments where their faith may be tested. Some feel unsure. Some feel afraid.

So before they left, we reminded them of something simple but powerful.

You do not need to preach loudly to share Jesus.
You can show Him through your life.

Through patience.
Through kindness.
Through respect.
Through love.

We encouraged them to be a light in their homes. To reflect Christ in the way they speak and act. To trust that God is working even when they cannot see it.

We know it is not easy, especially for new believers. But we continue to pray that their faith will grow stronger, and that their families will begin to see the difference Christ makes in their lives.

This is where mission begins. Not always on a stage. Not always in a church. But often in the quiet moments at home.

A New Chapter for One of Our Young Men

This month, we also said goodbye to one of our young men from the dorm.

Theb has found a new job in Kirirom and is now moving to begin a new chapter of his life.

Before he left, he was prayed for at PPC church. It was a simple but meaningful moment. As a body of Christ, we entrusted him to the Lord and asked God to guide him wherever he goes.

We pray that he will continue to walk with Christ. That he will find a church where he can grow. That the seed of faith planted in his heart will continue to grow strong.

Goodbyes are never easy, but they are also part of ministry.

People come. People grow. People go.

brother Theb is prayed for at PPC
And our prayer is always the same. That wherever they are, they will carry Christ with them.

A Test of Faith Before Our Trip

Our recent trip to the Philippines was something we had been looking forward to for a long time. But just one day before our flight, we faced a situation that shook us. Our travel agent called and told us that David’s new Philippine passport might not allow him to travel because of a visa concern.
We were not expecting this at all. We only had a few hours to act because government offices were about to close for the holidays.
In that moment, we had two choices. Panic or pray.

We chose to pray.
Then we moved.
We went straight to the passport office at the mall, hoping for a chance. David was nervous. He had to answer questions in Khmer, and this was not easy for him. During the first interview, his application was rejected. As a mother, my heart sank.
But we did not give up. Dad took time to encourage him, to calm him, and to help him prepare for another try.

On the second attempt, something changed. David was able to answer. It was not perfect, but it was enough. The officer approved his application, though he reminded us that David still needs to improve his Khmer.
We waited.
We prayed.
And after a few hours, his Cambodian passport was released.
Just like that.
What felt impossible in the morning became a testimony by the afternoon. God made a way.

I remember sitting quietly by the bench, praying while the boys moved from one counter to another. It was a moment of surrender.
And God answered. This experience reminded us again that God is not limited by time, systems, or human processes.
When He opens a door, no one can close it.

A Grace Filled Time in the Philippines

Our time in the Philippines was a gift.

We were able to reconnect with family. We visited mentors who have guided us in ministry. We spent time with our church community and discipleship group.

We also had the chance to reconnect with Vandy's friends and classmates from Bible school. Each moment was meaningful.

It was not just a vacation. It was a time of renewal. A time to remember where we started. A time to be encouraged again for the work God has called us to do. To be faithful till the end and to finish strong.

We were also able to share what God is doing in Cambodia.

We spoke about the dorm ministry. The young lives being shaped. The small steps of faith that are making a big difference.

We were reminded that mission is not done alone.

It is a shared calling.

And we are grateful to be part of this work.

The Mission Field in Cambodia

There is still so much to be done here in Cambodia.
Many people have not yet heard the gospel.
Many families are still waiting to know the love of Christ.
Sometimes the work feels slow. But we believe in this truth.
One life matters.
One family matters.
One conversation matters.

We are committed to reaching people one by one. Family by family.
We believe that as young people come to know Christ, they will carry the gospel into their homes, their workplaces, and their communities.
Khmers reaching Khmers for Christ.
This is our prayer.
This is our hope.

A Glimpse of Ministry Through Stories

This month, we shared a reflection on how to glorify God during Khmer New Year. It focused on living out our faith in real and practical ways, especially during times when we are surrounded by different beliefs.

We also shared a reflection during Passion Week, answering the question, Why is it called Good Friday, based on Isaiah 53. It was a reminder of the sacrifice of Jesus and the love that led Him to the cross.

Another reflection spoke about having a heart that gives freely. A simple message that reminds us that generosity begins in the heart.

These are small ways we try to encourage others through writing.

If you have time, we invite you to read and share these reflections with others who may need encouragement.

Life and Work in April

April was also a busy month in many ways.

The semester came to an end, and there were many responsibilities to complete. Reports needed to be submitted. Events needed to be organized.

Balancing work, ministry, and family is not always easy, but God continues to give strength day by day.

Divine Brownies also took a break this month since schools were on holiday. Our sister Kunthy and nephew spent time with family in Kampong Cham.

Even in these simple moments, we see God’s goodness.

Rest is also part of His provision.

Taste and See That the Lord is Good

If we could sum up this whole month in one thought, it would be this. God is good. Not just in big moments, but in small ones.
In answered prayers.
In unexpected solutions.
In safe travels.
In quiet peace.

Psalm 34:8 invites us not just to believe, but to experience.
To taste and see. And this month, we truly did.
Psalm 34:8
