A Simple Invitation to Walk in Love for 10 Days
Love is one of the greatest gifts God has given us, yet it is also one of the hardest things to practice daily. In our homes, workplaces, schools, ministries, and even in our own churches, love is often tested. Some people are easy to love, while others require grace, patience, and understanding. But Scripture reminds us that love is the foundation of everything we do. Without love, even our best efforts lose their meaning.
That is why I want to invite you to commit to a simple 10 day devotional journey based on 1 Corinthians 13. Each day focuses on what real love looks like through God’s eyes. It is gentle, reflective, practical, and designed to help us not only understand love, but live it out in the people around us.
We are all surrounded by people who need love.
A colleague who is lonely.
A friend who is struggling silently.
A sick family member.
A classmate who feels overlooked.
A neighbor who feels unvalued.
A cousin searching for direction.
A child in need of patience.
A spouse needing kindness.
As we take these 10 days together, my prayer is simple:
That we learn to love like Jesus loved.
And through our love, may someone discover Him.
Five Practical Ways to Show Christ’s Love During the 10 Day Devotional
Here are five easy and meaningful ways to practice love intentionally during these 10 days:
1. Speak gently and kindly
Make your words a source of comfort, especially to those who are stressed, hurting, or confused. Sometimes a soft answer can open a heart more than a long explanation.
2. Be present without rushing
Give someone your full attention. Listen without interrupting. This is one of the purest forms of love in a world full of noise and distractions.
3. Do one simple act of service daily
Offer help before being asked. Carry something heavy for someone. Prepare a meal. Check on someone’s family. Love often begins with small actions.

Choose one person each day. Mention their challenges to God. Pray that they would feel loved, valued, and seen. God hears the quiet prayers no one else knows.
5. Share encouragement boldly
Send a message. Write a note. Tell someone you see their effort. People seldom forget sincere encouragement, because it reminds them that they matter.
A Simple Prayer You Can Pray Over Someone Today
You can pray this over a colleague, a struggling friend, a sick person, an unvalued family member, or anyone God puts in your heart:
“Lord, bless this person today. Let them feel Your love, peace, and comfort. Whatever they are carrying, please lift it from their heart. Show them that they are not alone and that You care deeply for them. Help me be a light in their life through patience, kindness, and understanding. Amen.”
A Gentle Salvation Prayer for Anyone Wanting to Know Christ’s Love
If you or someone you care about wants to receive Jesus and experience His love personally, here is a simple prayer:
“Jesus,
I come to You today because I need Your love. I confess that I cannot save myself. I believe You died for my sins and rose again to give me new life. Please forgive me, change me, and live in my heart. I surrender my life to You. Teach me to walk in Your love every day.
Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
My hope is that this 10-day devotional becomes more than a reading plan.
I pray it becomes a way of life.
A rhythm of love.
A path that leads us closer to Jesus and opens doors for the people around us to see Him too.
