Knowing our purpose
Our church is in the sermon series of knowing our purpose in Christ.
This is definitely a timely and relevant topic to reflect about. Knowing our purpose is important, because this leads our trajectory on how to live life. Getting to the destination where we have thought about and anticipated to be.
It is keeping ourselves accountable to what has God prepared for us. But how do we really know whether our own personal plan aligns with God?
Manual
Recently, we have been doing lots of baking at home. Our favorite is Vandy's chocolate walnut cake. I also like kneading and baking "pandesal" a Filipino version of bread rolls.
We were so becoming intense on this hobby that we have decided to upgrade our 10 year old oven. My husband was looking at purchasing a bigger oven (the commercial one!) - I know it could be too much, so I opposed initially, but he was thinking to invest on it for a possible baking cakes business. And so, we bought a bigger one since pandemic and we only get to finally use that oven last month because surprisingly - the Lord opened the door for us to supply "chocolate walnut cakes" to some coffee shops.
It does really worth it to listen to your husband and not be opposing to his decisions haha!
The big oven that we have purchased came with a comprehensive MANUAL. It tells the key functions and purpose usage of the unit. The manual indicates step by step instructions on what to do if any troubles would come. It also came with warranty.
Looking at this oven features, how do we live our lives? do we even know the purpose? Have we even sought God's manual or aligned plan for us? For sure we would need a manual. Seeking God is not only when we are desperate of help but definitely in every moment of our lives. God's word is our manual of knowing our worth, our identity in Him.

This is sister CHENDA, one of our faithful worship leaders and dorm big sisters at church. She shared a short testimony and praised news about her mom's condition. She looks radiant and cheerful as she was sharing how God has been victorious and faithful in her family. A few days ago, her family had an urgent need of prayers and funds. Her mom had an accident and needed a medical treatment in Vietnam. She was very thankful for the church family and community of believers who have extended help for them. I am personally blessed by her testimony - her smiles and cheerful spirit were contagious despite having difficulties.
