David's long break begins
Today marks David's last day of school this year. He's so excited to celebrate Christmas party with classmates and teachers this noon. He was too eager to prepare his goodies to share with everyone. Lovingly made with love from home: chicharon+chocolate cringles+banana chocolate bread and store bought cranberry juice.
Mom brought him to school this morning via Tuktuk ride 😁😀😅 - a rare opportunity since mom has an off day today hurray!
Mom's guilt feeling
Yes I seldom bring/fetch my son to school, since I am also a working mom. I am grateful for a husband who would fill this part for me. Vandy also has many things to manage on his plate, but would always be around for the family. I know as a pastor, there were many times - he would not even have anymore time for himself because all his time is invested to everyone around him and to the ministry he is leading.
Soooo today, I intentionally told him to take a day off from bringing our son to school. I want him to enjoy his "personal time" unhurriedly. And also, I would want to spend some quality time with David and meet his teachers at school as well. I felt happy when David would proudly grim and tell everyone in class - "she's my mom!"/ "my mom is here"
I am a proud momma but can't help sometimes be feeling guilty about it 😌😅 because I am not always around.
God is always present
I praise God for his promise of being "present" regardless of what I feel and think of. Today as I spent time with my son even just on a short Tuktuk ride, I was reminded that God is ever present with me/us. Pastor Rick once mentioned that, God's presence is too profound to be measured by mere emotion. He is here even when we are unaware of him.
We should live by faith not by sight, or by our feelings.
