Dive into His words

Hello! 🥰😉
I’m rejoicing - Christ is in you and me!
The moment we confessed that Jesus is our Savior, we have the assurance of an eternal life in Heaven with Him (so it's really true there's forever!) 🥰😍
And not only that, He sent to us the Holy Spirit so we would always be connected to him.
It's heartwarming to know - Jesus desires to have a relationship with us.
He is our Emmanuel (God with us!) in every seasons of our lives He is there - now that is really comforting to know that we will never be alone.

Do you even wonder why do we make difficult decisions?
In life, one way or another we do make choices. Simple things like: from the moment we wake up, what to wear, what to cook etc.. to major ones! (should I pursue this career path? will this new business venture worth it? should I tell him I got hurt?)
Good news! the Spirit of God is with us.. this is one of the reasons why the Holy spirit is sent to us, so we could be guided and won't be astray.

Do you want to know a secret to how God would reveal His plans to us?
As a believer, let us always go back to the basics.. reading His words daily (dive in to the word of God).
I encourage you to make it as a regular routine even though it's challenging sometimes, because it's hard to understand some parts of the bible.
But you know, the word of God is alive - - in fact it's God's breath! it's our daily source of strength.
It is where God is directly speaking to us literally!

I wear a lot of roles everyday.. a wife..a mom .. a lecturer .. a friend .. a colleague and many more!
I get tired easily because of different pressures in and out.
But I could guarantee that if I won't start my day reflecting in His words - I would already sense somethings not right.
I will definitely feel weary, unpleasant and would tendency to make unwise choices that day!

God's words for me is power and connection to Him.
It makes me grounded to know my Saviour in my heart not only in my mind.
If I don't know what to pray, most of the time I would always be reminded to utter what I read that day. It prompts me what to pray.

Here are some tips that have fueled me to my bible reading through the years:
1. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand His words
2. Spend 5-10 minutes with two chapters a day! (it doesn't need to be long)
3. Reflect on those chapters (then gradually increase as you progress).
4. Highlight the commands & promises (write/scribble them on your bible!)
5. Keep a journal

we practice QUITE TIME at home.. and what we do is to read our bibles together.. our son was gifted by our dear friend Jewel with a grown up bible in - It's perfect timing because we are now shifting him to read his bible from the animated one to the real one.
My son's bible in the bigger one, mine is the smaller one but both are in NIV versions.
