Online discipleships with Sheryl and David our special guest |
During our discipleship, we shared and reflected about Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
It was such a wonderful time to spend time talking and praying with Sheryl (even joined by 😛Mr. David- he was also reading his bible quietly while mommy conducts discipleship)
Oh how timing is this verse this week. During our praying time, verse 7 kept on resonating in me.
God kept on impressing that whenever we ask for the peace of mind and peace of heart - these promise and command are definitely what we need.
Anxiety is increasing in society due to conflict, change, and concerns about safety, security, and the future. Overthinking can lead to anxiety. God commands us to offer up everything in prayer, acknowledging His authority to guide and protect us.
Good news, God’s peace is given to us and could be renewed daily as long as we ask.
This kind of peace could transcend all understanding. It will overshadow even our fears, wearies, problems etc.
May God’s peace continue to be manifested in your life today.
