To all our american friends and prayer partners...

30 day challenge!

I'm on a 30 day challenge of claiming specific "prayers" for my husband. Got this idea/link from a christian blogger. I'm just so happy that I'm able to be led on  these needs. Of course I pray for my husband everyday, but this list has given me more guidelines so as to say. Right now, I'm on my 16th day I think (ok.. so, I confess - got tied up a little bit.. actually I'm 4days behind.. guilty me) So, going back.. I have prayed for my husband's PROTECTION today. Two verses have helped me claimed this prayer: a)  My steps have held fast to thy paths, My feet have not slipped. Psalm 17:5 and b)  I'm very convince that husbands need prayers from their wives. It's a powerful thing that binds a marriage. In the past 3 years, I have found out that prayers really a strong weapon to combat fears and insecurities. I'm still learning on this area, humbling myself to be changed daily. Our husbands are a gift from God. We should treasure and take ca...

Sky Fall 007

This pregnant mama had a hot date last night! Honey treated us for a movie/dinner date..Our first time to the cinema as "trio" It's a wonderful film, highly recommended! Got curious on James Bond's lady (the woman in China/Macau shots) is a half asian.. has a Khmer Blood! she's pretty and really good.. hope she will have more acting stint after this film. It wasn't a premier night at Citi Mall last night, but people (mostly Expats) have drawn to the cinema.. to think that it's already a last full show.. amusing! Oh, did I mentioned that my husband-007 had the proved to be James Bond? On the way home, our community guard and some men saw a snake, they have been trying to get rid of it (kill!) because it might threat the children near a primary school. To no avail. They had hard time to do it..So, my husband came to the rescue.. he hurriedly took a long big stick and bravely went closer to chase the snake, with few whippings.. my James Bond -husband wa...

I'm thanking God for this wonderful journey of being a pregnant woman. My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and the earth! I don't know, it's just amazing to have a tiny life - developing and growing inside my belly! I wonder what's going on inside .. let's look at my baby's up to: As I research, our little one is now called a fetus "medical terms" The most critical part  of the fetus'development is complete. Entering to a more rapid growth. The baby's head is now about half its length, soon the rest of the body's growth will catch up. There's already little eye and it's color is also determined by this point. The placenta begins to function this week. **Placenta - is the organ responsible for both the provision of nutrients along with the removal of waste to keep the baby growing strong. Thank God my morning sickness is very manageable. No more nausea and vomiting! I had heartburn yesterday, it was my first ...

We finally announced to the world! where else can we announce it? FACEBOOK! In just few minutes of uploading our photos! it has gone viral, and I got lots of "likes" and comments. I have been thinking how can we best announce it to everyone... mmmm.. got some inspiration from Pinterest! ours is not sophisticated, because we can't afford to hire a professional photographer to do it. Just being resourceful and creative ha! So, here it is ... OVERJOYED!  This verse has spoken to us for several times, it has been one of our lives living testimonies. Trusting and depending on God's favor. We are claiming amazing plans and unimaginable future with Him. This was a real thing! In the morning of Oct. 12  I rushed myself to tried this pregnancy kit, it gave us a positive result! REJOICING!  we only informed our family members in the Philippines and Kampong Cham first ("soft announcement")

It's my first ever ultrasound today. Thrilled! excited! nervous.... this is the day we have been waiting for ... We're supposed to go to the Central Hospital, but we just choose to go to the nearest hospital instead (Sensok International Hospital) as it would be easier for me to dismiss my class earlier. It's just 2 minutes away from Limkokwing :D Vandy fetched me at exactly 10am. The hospital is so huge! and facilities are really impressive, no wonder it's one of the most high end hospital here in Sensok. Staff are friendly and nice, they can speak and understand English :D We were catered quickly to our room. So, we met the nurse and a Khmer doctor (Dr. Suthy). I was so nervous to lie down and face the big screen infront of me. Vandy was just silent and observing, he stood beside the doctor. The doctor was so nice and soft spoken, he was very patient on our manyyyyy questions! he understood because we are 1st timers haha! This monitor shows our baby's...

1st craving!

craved for mexican burittos! thank you for the treat last night honey :D!

Happy Sunday!

Our devotion this morning talked about our matchless King... I was listening while Vandy took the turn to read it over breakfast. I'm so overwhelm on that truth! my Lord and Savior is indeed an incomparable God :D It amazes me that even the tiniest details/unnoticed things speak about Jesus and His greatness.. awesome! Our nephew Piseth is officially staying with us. He's studying in one of the universities here in Phnom Penh and would like to become a lawyer someday. It's going to be a very new environment for him, but I'm praying that he will be adjusted soon. So far, he's already praying with us before meal times and listening to our morning devotion. It's great that hubby made some rules on "language usage" in the house... Monday to Friday we will all speak in English, and on weekends everyone will need to speak in Khmer... (good luck for me!) yay or nay!? Piseth is a nice nephew, it's a good thing he can speak and understand English, so it...

Pchem Ben Holiday :D

visiting our folks here in Kampong Cham for the week long Pchum Benh holiday...  Vandy is cooking "pork sinigang" for lunch :D he's doing really great! my in-laws' house is full pack of our nieces and nephews.. waiting for their uncle's famous dish from the Philippines :D happy lunch everyone!

UTI has gone...

This is a yeheyyy for me! Thank God I'm UTI-free :D now, I can go on with my life and eat those food that I looovvvve to eat! (with moderation!). I really have to cut down my coffee and soda intake and let water be my best friend. Had my last urine test in the morning and then proceeded to the Tent for worship. I led the worship today (my first!) I was really nervous. It's been a long time to be on stage and leading songs. Thank goodness God is so amazing! He has let me sang from my heart instead. I'm not so good singer.. never had a solo stint at church but if it's on praising God, I will always be available and let God do the works! I'm just so glad I trusted Him. My God is the maker of the heavens and the earth!

Victory in Jesus!

Updates on our health: 1. Our niece Vuit is getting out of the hospital today. Doctors are just finalizing her release papers. She's well and in good shape now. Since Vuit's 1st time to Phnom Penh, she will be toured around the city by uncle Vandy. She's happy that he kept that promise. She's going back to Kampong Cham tomorrow. She misses her sister and her school. Thank you fo r your prayers! 2. Praises be to God! Tess is both negative on Dengue and Typhoid fever, but she has an acute urinary tract infection and blood related bacteria. She preferred to be treated at home that's why her doctors advised her to take a lot of antibiotics and other kinds of medicines. She's on sick leave for 3days. She's still having rough times dealing on dizzyness and nausea. Fever has gone down now. We are hoping that she gets better soon. A lot of people are guessing she's pregnant! that will be a great news to welcome too, but there's no indication just yet.

celebrating 3rd anniversary .. sick me!

we thank God for the 3rd fruitful and blessed years! all praises and glory belong to Him - our mighty Creator and our Lord Savior! We weren't able to have a dinner out or a movie date yesterday, because I'm sick :( but at least we were able to have a date with our doctor (hehehe!) I'm so blessed to have Vandy on my side. My husband is my rock. My 24/7 nurse :D thank you brother  Mark Fishel  and Ninong  Greg Bawang Fernandez Jr.  and Ninang  Resie Fernandez  and your girls Aleeyah and Esher for the surprise visit/dinner last night :D it's always better to celebrate anniversary with the people you love. Thank you for your love and prayers! We are asking for another prayer req uest for my health (Tess). I have been experiencing high fever and muscle pain these past few days. Went to the doctor yesterday, and he suspected it might be dengue or typhoid fever. He ran for some blood test and urine test for me. We are still waiting for those results today.....

Pray for our Niece

She is Vuit, our smartest and cheerful niece in Kampong Cham (Vandy's side of the family). She's number one on her class and placed 3rd on their recent provincial examinations.  Please kindly pray for her, she's down with Dengue fever since last week. It was her critical condition yesterday, and the doctor in Kampong Cham has already told the family that she might not make it. We insisted that she wiould be brought to Phnom Penh for further treatment. So anxious when they travelled her through an ambulance last night.. thank God they were able to make it. We rushed her to the emergency of Kontha Bopha (the most trusted children's hopital in Cambodia). The doctors were so alert and really took good care of her. It was very quick, meticulous and hands on service by doctors (1st time to see that kind of medicare here in Cambodia ever). Vandy stayed and didn't leave her side the whole night (her most loved uncle). Everyone hasn't slept yet. Praise God our niece is...

Vandy @ 33

The love of my life turns 33 today!  I claim Psalm 27:3,5,13-14 for him. I'm so blessed to have a caring and loving husband, very committed and always stands on his words. He's very courageous and lives on what he believes - the truth! I kn ow he is our spiritual leader at home, he's a godly-influence to me and to the people he is serving with. He's a very quiet type man, but believe me, he also cracks some jokes and he loves to laugh! I'm so grateful to be his "helpmate". He never gives in and gives up on my stubbornness (hehehe...love the way he's so stand firm). He's very patient on me, especially on the area of submission (I feel guilty most of the time- flaws of being a wife!).He told me that his happiness is when I'm happy - (Enjoy life with the wife you love. Eccles. 9:9). He taught me to live out my faith and encourages me to grow my relationship in the Lord everyday. He told me to love my God more than him. My husband inspires me a l...

He will finally be starting a Masters degree in two weeks time :D I'm proud of you honey! :D our next prayer list is... claiming for God's provision...

Cheers for a change!

From a happy single-missionary to a happier MARRIED wife! So, I decided to start a new blog after so many attempts! Basically, the main reason why I was persuaded to blog again is that I want to share what God has been doing into our lives as a couple and as a partner ministers of the gospel here in Cambodia. We desire to honor God in everything that we do. I think this is also a good tool to somehow be connected with our circle of friends here and outside Cambodia. Honestly, I write a lot but Privately. On my Journal. Friends and families had been asking about us and about our ministries, because we seldom update them. They're requesting me to blog again instead. At first, there's hesitation on my part, because I know I'm not really good into writing and all. I don't even know how and where to begin. So, I'm going to try again. Here it goes, I'm blogging. Officially! Wishing for the best! First, I became a wife..... I find it tough. but SER...
